Is Lexx your real name? What made you choose it as a wrestling name?
No. Lexx is a nickname I strangely acquired in the last few
months I was at school, which kind of died out in my first few months
at college, but made a huge comeback in the new millenium! I never
originally planned on using it as a wrestling name, but then I got to
a point where I had to have one and I had a list as long as the River
Nile! All the names I had seemed to need either a gimmick or a
definite heel/face decision. The name "Lexx" needed none of
these so I thought I'd just use it for while till I came up with
something worthy... and now I'm stuck with it, lol. As for my real
name, have fun guessing!
-
How old were you when you started training to be a wrestler?
I was 19.
-
Are you heel or face?
I am Lexx.
-
Lexxbian... sounds almost like LESBIAN. Are you trying to tell us something?
Funny. Why the sudden interest? You after a date? Lexxbians are a force to be reckoned with. For the record, I like the men.
-
What was your entrance theme at Monday Night Mayhem? It sounded vaguely familiar.
My entrance theme on that particular night was 'Slip Slide
Melting' by For Love Not Lisa. It's featured on The Crow soundtrack.
Very cool track.
-
What is your dream promotion to work for?
I'm already with wZw, which is a dream in itself... (aww, pass
the bucket!)... I'd really like to work for TNA, CZW or RoH someday.
-
How did you come to be involved in the business?
Time to reveal my nerdiness now. I was part of, in fact I ran, an
Angel/Buffy online rpg group. It was a really fun group with some
awesome players, though sadly the rpg has since died on it's arse. We
had an out-of-character forum in which one of our players (he knows
who he is) brought to my attention a pro-wrestling school that had
recently opened in South Shields, UK. I went along on my own, which
was scary, and it all went from there...
-
Who would you like to work a match with? And what kind of matches would you like to work in the future?
I dream of a match with Christopher Daniels, Raven and Trent
Acid! There are a lot of people I'd like to work with, too many to
name. Matches... I'd like to take anything hardcore, I'm weird that
way. Put me through tables, hit me with chairs, push me off ladders...
just don't make me do technical!
-
Is that spandex you're wearing, Little Miss "I'll-never-wear-anything-that-stretches"? And why doesn't it sparkle like diva-wear?
Yes it is spandex, and I never said never, I just said not while I had a fat ass! I still have a fat ass, but it's "can fit into kiddie jeans" fat ass! Damn you! And it don't sparkle like Diva-wear because, get this, I'M NOT A DIVA!!! Why sparkle, when my star shines so brightly!
-
If you could've been involved in any WWE storyline of the past, which would you choose?
I've got two words for you... SUCK IT!!!
-
Is it true you hate Women's Wrestling?
No, I don't hate Women's Wrestling. I just hate WWE Women's Wrestling. Much of their talent is wasted.
-
What is your inspiration when stepping into the ring? What goes through your mind?
That is a tough question. The main thought that enters my head
is not falling over on my way to the ring. I'm not that big on
inspiration either. I guess I just like to keep my mind as clear as
possible so I can concentrate on what I'm doing in the ring.
-
Who would you say influences your wrestling style?
Spike Dudley, Marty Janetty and Edge used to influence me a lot as far as my fighting style and moves went when I first started training. I've since quit trying to be other people because the standards are too high, and now I'm just concentrating on doing my own thing, setting my own standard and being Lexx.
-
What has been your greatest achievement in wrestling so far?
Ask me this when I've been doing it for another 5 years or so.
-
Who is your favorite wrestler to work with in the ring?
The Nattrass Boyz. They know why!
-
Whatever happened to the Reflexx?
Mwahahahaha! The Reflexx is a lonely child... The thing with
the Reflexx was that as a modified hurracanrana it was hard to pull
myself up after the handspring, which caused problems, and at the time
I was using it I was mainly having matches in training with people my
own size. Now, on people like Enigma who are as tall as really tall
trees, there is no problem. On midgets like myself I'm prone to
smacking my head off the mat! Ouch. I tell you no finishing move is
worth concussion 99% of its usage!
-
What is the one wrestling move you will NEVER do?
Moonsault. I can't bend backwards very well, and I can feel it in me bones, matey, that if I ever attempt such a move it'll be the last thing I ever do!
-
Does your family support your quest to wrestle?
My brother was the person who first sat me down to watch WWF as
it was then known, so naturally being a big fan of wrestling himself,
he is very supportive and is the founding member of the Lexxbian Army,
or at least he'd better be, grrrr! My parents are supportive also,
though they don't really watch wrestling much. Me Da used to watch
World of Sport though, and Me Ma loves the Rock... maybe just the
People's Strudel. Woman! To be honest I think she's a closet fan,
there's been talk of her watching Scotty 2 Hotty matches on Smackdown!
Oh you know it's true, missus!
-
What goes on in the wZw locker room?
You couldn't pay me enough to give out such secrets.
-
Just how many finishing moves have you had?
Let's see... My first was the Five by Five, which was the Rocker Dropper. I now call it the Lowrider and still use a modified version of it. Along with that came the Dead End aka the Spear, which I had to stop using because it caused major discomfort in my right foot. The Relfexx was next, my modified huracanrana. After that came Sweet Misery #1, the Acid Drop into a Stunner... and now Sweet Misery #2, my beloved Swanton! That makes five. I hate that number!
-
Are you still wZw's only woman?
Not anymore. Rio and myself makes two. Also, Minx has worked wZw.
-
Where did you get that D-Generation X vest?
Well if you look carefully in the Promo Gallery you'll see that
shot there in it's originality. The vest is plain, and the logo is
where a little studio engineering comes in, my hard rockin' amigo!
-
How can I become a Lexxbian?
You already are, my sweet. However, if you want something to show for it, visit
http://www.freewebs.com/lexxarmy
(note: site no longer exists) and officially declare your Lexxbianism.
-
Why Roddy Piper?
Why not?
-
How hard was it for you to get at the stage you are now in the wrestling business?
It's been hard to get to where I am now, which is really that far compared to the people I've been training with from day one. I'm not about to piss & moan about my injury, I'm done with that. People are sick of hearing about and quite frankly I'm sick of it being brought up. I guess the bigger set back was the confidence. I'm not a confident person, never have been, and so that has been the biggest obstacle. I have a LONG way to go yet and thanks to those who know who they are, I've had a right kick up the backside. I'm fully motivated, and maybe soon the little confidence I had before will return. As for the stage I'm at now... I honestly have no idea what that is!
-
Do you survive on the money you earn from wrestling or do you have a job aswell?
At the moment I'm not receiving any bookings for anything
outside of wZw, and many will agree that I have a long hard stretch of
training to go before that'll happen. So, I don't earn much money from
it whatsoever, but that thought has never crossed my mind, or bothered
me since I've never really been money motivated. As for a "day
job"... I don't have one of those at the moment. Lexx and her
previous employer "parted on good terms and have kept the line of
communication open"...
-
Are you Lex Luger?
Are you not ON my site? Do you not SEE the pictures? Are you an IDIOT? Lex Luger... meh!
